An avalanche killed a Czech climber (23 years old) on Kampermauer, Austria, on Friday, a report on www.Lezec.cz said.
His climbing partner escaped without injury. Another seriously injured Czech was transported by helicopter to hospital in Linz (the avalanche knocked him down from the wall and caused an injury on his leg, but his climbing partner belayed him well.) Another two Austrian climbers hit the avalanche only slightly. All 4 Czechs climbed the route Hermeline, the Austrian did route Extasia. The Mountian service and Red cross Windischgarsten participated on the rescue.
