The International Federation of Sport Climbing IFSC has confirmed that the World Cup competitions will be held in Prague in 2026 and 2028, with bouldering next year also adding lead climbing. The previously approved World Climbing Championships in Brno are scheduled for 2027.

The IFSC announced this in a report published over the weekend during the Bouldering World Cup in Prague.

The IFSC report states, among other things, that "the inclusion of Lead will also give Czech Climbing legend Adam Ondra the opportunity to continue performing in front of his passionate home crowd, as he recently announced that Prague 2025 will be his final Boulder World Cup competition."
