Czech mountaineering union announced that the local climbing organization agreed with the nature preservation authorities usage of chalk in Czech Labe (Elbe) valley sandstones only on routes from IXb (7a) and higher grade.

The ban of chalk and other even a bit harder limitations are still valid in other areas in Northern and Eastern Bohemia sandstones areas. So it is necessary to ask locally for the local conditions.
