After three years at Letná Plain, the climbing elite will return to Prague, this time to a new location. The next edition of the World Cup in sport climbing will take place on Štvanice Island from June 3 to 7, 2026. This time, lead climbing will be added to the bouldering discipline.

The move to Štvanice Island will bring a fresher and more attractive environment, offering visitors not only a more intense fan experience, but also comfort in all weather conditions – whether it rains or the sun is shining, the venue is ready to ensure comfort for all fans.

The festival atmosphere of Štvanice, combined with the Climbing World Cup, will create a unique and unforgettable atmosphere.

"Štvanice opens up completely new possibilities for us to take the competition further. We want to offer fans professional facilities, greater comfort, and an atmosphere that matches the world-class level of climbing. We believe that this is where the World Cup can grow into one of the most attractive sporting events of the year," said Jan Bloudek, chairman of the Czech Mountaineering Association.

This year's edition will once again host the biggest stars of world climbing, led by Czech legend Adam Ondra. The iconic Adam will present himself to the Prague audience in his dominant discipline – lead climbing. Adam's spectacular discipline will be hosted by the sports "colosseum" of the Štvanice Stadium, while bouldering will take place in the adjacent park. Adam will be accompanied by other Czech representatives, who will want to confirm that Czech climbing belongs among the world's elite.

"The move to Štvanice is logical given last year's wind problems. I like change and I'm looking forward to this one. I'm very happy that not only the World Cup in bouldering but also in lead climbing is returning to Prague. Our national team is stronger in this discipline, and I think that a home competition is a great motivation for both us experienced climbers and the younger generation," says Adam Ondra.

The organizers are currently awaiting final approval of the schedule from the International Federation of Sport Climbing, but the date for the first wave of ticket sales has already been confirmed – it will take place on www.climbingworldcup.cz no later than December 17, so fans will have the opportunity to purchase tickets before Christmas.

For the fourth year in a row, Prague will become the center of world climbing – this time bigger, more colorful, and even more accessible. The World Cup promises five days of top-class sport, excitement, and an unforgettable fan experience, while also serving as a dress rehearsal for the World Championships, which will take place in Brno in 2027.
