An avalanche in Italien Alps slightly injured a Czech skier. The snow fall hit the participants of the ski competition close to French border. It injured seven people all together.

The World Championship in ski mountaineering takes place there and according to the Czech mountaineering union web site "today an avalanche fell down in area where the competition of the World Championship in ski mountaineering took place. All members of the Czech team are OK."

During the competition a smaller avalanche fell on to the head part of the competiton row of juniors and it buried about 30 people. The avalanche was about 150 metres long and it was created by blown snow at the spot where nobody expected it. Almost all of them helped themselves. The organizers immediately stoped the race and started to rescue. Four Czechs were among hit people, all of them helped themselves. One of them Radoslav Groh was a minor injured at his knee and at hospital he was a bit sewed. There were more injured people from other teams.
