
Josef Nakládal was the best Czech representative in yesterday's opening sprint of the Youth Ski Mountaineering World Cup in Surnadal, Norway, finishing eighth in the U20 category. Marek Foltýn (9th) and Ondřej Souček (10th) also made it into the top ten in the same category. This information was reported yesterday on the ČHS website.
All three Czech competitors in the U20 category advanced from the qualifiers to the semifinals and were the only national team to have complete representation in the TOP 10.
In the U18 category, František Jopek advanced to the semifinals and finished in 12th place, while Šimon Souček finished in 20th place. The sprint took place in freezing conditions with temperatures around -16 °C on the tracks of the local ski resort.
The competition program in Surnadal continues today with the vertical discipline, which will take place outside the ski resort.
