
The Czech youth ski mountaineers competed at the Youth World Championships in France, with Marek Foltýn and Ondřej Souček (U20) and Vítek Dlouhý and Šimon Souček (U18) representing the team, the Czech Ski Association (ČHS) announced today on its website.
Marek Foltýn was off to the strongest start, holding 13th place during the race, but he injured his knee on the second descent and was forced to withdraw. The remaining trio finished the race: Ondřej Souček placed 26th out of 42 competitors, Šimon Souček took 29th place, and Vítek Dlouhý finished in 32nd position.
