The ranking system of Lezec.cz / Czechclimbing.com has been facelifted. The new ranking (žebříček) evaluates the top ten routes of the climber and also considers the style of ascent.
Tomáš Mrázek and Silva Rajfová are Champions of the Czech republic. They won the Championship in Prague that took place on 3rd and 4th of December 2005.

2nd woman Soňa Hnízdilová, 3rd Helena Lipenská.

7 Czechs died under avalanche in Slovaks West Tatras
31.12.2005 Seven Czech mountaineers died today morning under snow avalanche in Slovaks West Tatras.
One of the eith members group survived, helped himself and called for rescue servise. The group spent the night in the area of Spaleny Zleb in planed bivaque. The avalanche fell down at about 6:00 am.
There was the avalanche hazard of the 4th degree declared in the area. Czech and Slovak media reports widely about the disaster. The names of the mountaineers has not been known yet. The one who survived should be from Czech town Kralupy nad Vltavou close to Prague.
