Cz Mountain. Union: members of OeAV cannot climb on Czech rocks
Czech Mountaineering Union has worried, that climbers who are only members of OeAV and other German unions cannot climb on Czech preserved rocks, because Czech legislation allows climbing there only for climbers organized in unions unified in UIAA.

We got the news from Australia about a fatal climbing accident that happened in Blue Mountains, Australia. It was on route recently equipped by bolts which are dangerously used. Local climbers are thinking that the climbers who bolted the route may be from Poland or Czech Republic.

New Route in Mamutowa Cave - Sprawa Honoru 9a (VI.8)
On 14th December 2008 the list of Polish extreme routes of VI.8 (9a?) grade was extended by another proposal. Sprawa Honoru is currently the hardest proposed grade in Mamutowa Cave (Kluczwoda Valley, near Krakow).
Czech traditional sandstone and big wall climbers Tomas Sobotka, Ondra Benes, Jirka Lautner and Slovak Jan Smolen left to Venezuela on the end of the year. Their aim is first ascent to Acopan Tepui in National Park in Canaima.

For each sold rope they will plant one tree in national park Andringitra, in valley Sahanambo, on the southeast part of the island. Every rope will be marked by etiquette and the action should be promoted in the shops where BEAL ropes are on sale. The action has its web site www.beal-environment.info
