A team of Czech mountaineers – Leopold Sulovský, Chozé Lukáš, Petr Valchař, Pavol Lupták, Milan Sedláček, Ivan Zedníček a Radim Slíva are going to climb K2 (8611 m) in June. They will try to reach the summit via the Cesen route from 1986.
The World Champion and the winner of the World Cup 2004 Tomas Mrazek just has returned from Osp where he climbed in four days in RP style 8c+ Konec mira, and 3x 8c Človek ne jezi se, Strelovod and Karisma.

A man survived 2 hours under an avalanche with help of mobil phone. It happened yesterday in Czech mountains Krušné hory (Erzegebirge - the German name).
One Czech guy was buried by an avalanche on Saturday Feb 26 in High Tatras, Slovakia on snowboard freeride. The 2nd died last night under avalanche in West Tatras, Slovakia, on ski touring.

The 2005 Czech Mountaineering expedition to K2 should depart on May 22 2005.
The return is planned for the end of July. The Expedition will last 65 – 75 days.
