World Cup - Kuala Lumpur (MAS) 12.-13.8.2006 - lead
The sixth UIAA World Cup in lead climbing 2006 took place this weekend in Kuala Lumpur (MAS).
Tomáš Mrázek finished the sixth and he is now the first in combination ranking (lead and bouldering).
Tomas Mrazek ended the 10th on the last competition of the World Cup lead climbing in Singapore last weekend 05./06.08.2006. The speed was without Czechs.
World Cup Val Daone(speed) and Qinghai Province (lead)
The last weekend in July (29./30.07.2006) two competitions of the World Cup climbing took place, the one in lead in Qinghai Province (CHN), the second in speed in Val Daone (ITA).
The next 23rd International Mountaineering Film Festival (also known as Festak) is comming soon. As posters in the taking place - Teplice nad Metují (North-East Bohemia) announce - (look at the photos from the last weekend), the festival will take place there on August 24-27 2006.
On Saturday July 15 the Czech expedition Broad Peak 2006 represented by: Josef Nežerka-head, Tomáš Kysilka, Klára Matoušková, Pavel Plšek and Jiří Rieger departs to Pakistan.

Basic rules of the Aggtelek Cup:
After one qualifying route on real rock with additional artificial holds, the bests will continue in the final, all is on sight.
Categories:
male - A,
male - B,
female - B.
Modus of the Kids Climbing Competition:
It consists of difficulty climbing on real rock with additional artificial holds, boulder climbing on artificial wall and one speed route on real rock again, as follows:
Categories:
children born in 1993-94 C - youngster - male/female,
children born in 1995-96 D - kids 1 - male/female,
children born in 1997-99 E - kids 2 - male/female.
Rules:
Difficulty climb:
Qualifying round 2 routes to be climbed on rock in all categories, flash.
Half of the competitors gets into the final, but at least three of them.
Final: 1 route to be climbed on rock, on sight; with superfinal, if necessary and shared first place thereafter.
Time limits will be announced during the technical meeting.
Climbers of category C will lead; category D and E will climb top-rope.
If the number of those who climbed TOP in both qualifying rounds is more than half of the competitors of a given category, the larger group will participate in the final.
The first 3 place winner of the category C will be qualified to the adults competition.
Boulder:
All together 6 boulder problems have to be solved, with section (bonus) points during completion of the route.
More detailed information will be announced during the technical meeting.
Speed:
There will be one longer route have to be climbed with top-rope.

15:30 – End of the registration, technical meeting;
16:00 – Difficulty qualification rounds for categories C, D, E;
16:30 – Boulder competition for adults (same rules as in Kids Competition);
20:00 – Climbing movies, music, beer.
Saturday, 08. 19. 2006
07:30 – Registration for the adults competition;
08:15 – Official opening ceremony, end of the registration;
08:30 - Closing of the difficulty isolation for the categories B, C/female, D and E;
09:00 – Final for the Kids Competition, followed by the qualifying round for the cat. B;
12:00 – Boulder competition for the cat. D and E;
12:30 - Closing of the isolation for the categories A and C/male;
13:00 - Final for the cat. C/male and qualifying round for the cat. A;
15:00 – Boulder competition for the category C;
16:30 – Speed climbing for adults;
17:30 – Stair running competition, coke box climbing, classical music in the world famous
cave concert hall, slide-show, dance-party.

08:30 - Closing of the isolation;
09:00 - Finals;
11:00 – Speed climbing for the cat. C, D and E.
15:00 - Awarding ceremony.

Registration can be done on the spot (next to the entrance of the Aggtelek cave).
