Frankenjura: The new route harder than Action Directe?
Frankenjura´s elite climber Markus Bock finished an old project that he considers as the most difficult route he ever has climbed and thinks it is harder than Action Directe 9a.
"Sykorke was equally determined in the Frankenjura not only when repeating routes, but in particular when doing first ascents ... The line at the Waldkopf, which he had spotted, was possible to climb, but not by him. He tried for a while, but eventually left the project to his friend Wolfgang Güllich who then created one of the best known routes of the world: “Action Directe”."
Films, exhibition, and also competition of Slovak Cup in bouldering are on the schedule of the International festival of mountain films, its the 14th anual will take place 11-15 October 2006 in Poprad, Slovakia (High Tatras).
The new climbing hall will be open in Wiena, Austria, to the end of October 2006. It should be one of the biggest in Austria. The hall has space of 1200 m2, hight of 16 m, 1800 m2 space for rope climbing, 400 m2 of bouldering walls.
Mark Inglis, who legless ascented Everest, on Czech festival
Mark Inglis from New Zealand, who reached this year the top of Mount Everest with both his legs amputated, visited today Karlovy Vary (Karlsbad), Czech Republic, as the main guest of the film festival Tourfilm.
Mark Inglis spoke about his experience, projected diashow and promoted the beauties of New Zealand.
The Prague company Lezecké centrum s.r.o. (Climbing centrum Ltd.) is interested in organizing of World Cup competitions in lead climbing and bouldering next year in cooperation with the Czech Mountaineering Union. The Czech Mountaineering Union announced the news yesterday.
Adam Ondra (13-years-old) sent yesterday the route Wolfgang Gullich for 10+/11- PP in Moravian Karst. The autor of the route is Petr Dumpik who did it this year.

Frankenjura´s elite climber Markus Bock finished an old project that he considers as the most difficult route he ever has climbed and thinks it is harder than Action Directe 9a.
He did it on 5th October 2006. The project was set by Andi Hofmann in 1993 in Frankenjura (valley Ailsbachtal). The new route has no name at the moment and leads via 10 moves together along Burn for You, and than folows the hardest part - 6 bouldering moves in 8b Fb and without rest the finishing in 15 moves in 8b.
