Czech climber Tomáš Mrázek was 3rd on weekend at Rocmaster sport climbing international competition in Arco (Italy). Ramón Julián Puigblanque (ESP) was the first, Evgueni Ovchinikov (RUS) was 2nd.
The results of the Czech team on the World Youth climbing Championship in China in their categories: lead - Jan Zbranek 5th, Martin Stráník 6th, Silvie Rajfová 9th, Lucie Rajfová 16th, Anna Čermáková 20th, Tereza Čermáková 34th and speed Libor Hroza 9th, Anna Čermáková 14th, Tereza Čermáková 15th.
NANGA PARBAT 2005 LIGHT EXPEDITION CZ, supported by the Czech Mountaineering Union has returned recently after 7 weeks in Pakistan. Because of bad weather the members did not reach the main summit of Nanga Parbat (8125 m), but the expedition was in many ways exceptional.
The 22nd International Mountaineering Film Festival (also known as Festak) will start in a week, on Thursday night (25-28 August, Teplice nad Metují, Czech Republic). It is probably the largest climbers meeting in Czech republic. Besides the films and a bouldering competition there should be Leo Houlding as the host - a climbing ace from UK - with his slide show.
The fourth round of the Czech Cup in bouldering will take place 27.8.05 in conjunction with the International Festival of Mountain-Climbing Films in Teplice nad Metuji (North-East Bohemia, Czech Republic).
