Czech Mrs. mountaineer Zuzana Hofmanova died on Broad Peak
Zuzana Hofmannova, one of the Czech best woman mountaineers died on July 31st, 2012 when she did not come back from the summit of Broad Peak, her 4th 8000 meters high mountain. The sad news was published on the expedition site:
Czech mountaineer and politician (Member of Czech Parliament and ex mayor of Prague) Pavel Bém with Slovak mountaineer Peter Hámor reached the summit of K2 (8 611 m) in Karakoram on August 1st 2012.
The best Czech climber Adam Ondra escaped this summer Dipsy to Norway and according to his climbs it looks like the temperature there is very good for hard climbing.
The organizers of the Festival of Alpinismus in Prague in November 2012 announced that the mountaineering legend Reinhold Messner is the most probably expected among the main guests.
Spanish bigwall lady Sílvia Vidal will be the guest of Fesťak The 29th International Mountaineering Film Festival (MHFF- nicknamed Festak) in Teplice nad Metuji (Adrspach Rocks, Northeast Bohemia, CZ), takes place on August 23-26, 2012. One of the main guests is the spanish bigwall lady climber from Spain Sílvia Vidal.

Zuzana Hofmannova, with girl name Zuzana Charvatova was born 1959. In 80s she climbed hard classic ascents in Alps and Caucasus In new millennium she moved to higher mountains:
