Czechs were among six ski mountaineers who died under snow avalanche that fell down on Saturday afternoon in Tirol, Austria. Five of the victims are tourists from Czech Republic who were on trip in area Sölden, Tirol (AUT).

Czechs were among six ski mountaineers who died under snow avalanche that fell down on Saturday afternoon in Tirol, Austria. Five of the victims are tourists from Czech Republic who were on trip in area Sölden, Tirol (AUT).
The 3th victim is most probably Slovak, informed the Czech main stream web site iDNES.
According to the site iDNES the rescue team could reach the place first time on Sunday morning because of the bad weather.
The Czechs set out to the trip on Saturday morning. They wanted to ascent to the summit of mountain Schalfkogel to the altitude of 3500 m. One member of the Czech group, 45 years old men stayed on mountain cottage Hochwilderhaus, and after the accident he had got shock and is under the health service care.
The avalanche fell down at the altitude about 3000 m, at about 4.15 pm. The rescuers flied to the spot by helicopter but because of the bad weather they had to interrupt the action. They could continue early next morning.
