DRYTOOLING as a relatively new discipline is becoming an attractive option for young strong climbers. One of them is Dušan Janák aka Stoupa with whom we set off to the HÖNCENSTEINTAL valley in Dolomites on 17th February 2004.
Brief news from the Czech Cup of competition in bouldering in Breclav (the event was with international participation from Slovakia and Hungary):

The strong international participation was at todays competition of kids difficulty climbing Lanex Cup in Bohemian town Jicin. The best were the Latvians in the kategory of 1991-92, and also the Hungarian and Slovakian were good.
The Czech children were quite successful in speed climbing this weekend (March 6) in Budapest international climbing competition. The best was Aneta Hyvlova (LK Prachov, Lanex, Triop, Tukan Team) who won the girls speed category.

Silva Rajfová, Czech girl from Brno was on Saturday the second in the competition of Slovakian Cup in bouldering which took place in Slovakian town Žilina. A Slovakian climber Andrej Chrastina well known from the Prague Boulder Bar was the 3rd.

The Youth Climbing Competition of VESE will be organized. It consists of difficulty climbing and speed climbing on artificial wall as follows:

Rules:
Difficulty climb:
Qualifying round 2 routes to be climbed in all categories, flash.
Half of the competitors gets into the final, but maximum ten.
Final 1 route to be climbed, on sight; with superfinal, if necessary and shared first place thereafter.
Time limits will be announced during the technical meeting.
