Czech Jan Štípek climbed his second 9a. On Friday, November 28, he managed to complete the Wild Publico 9a route in Margalef, Spain. He recorded the route in his diary on Lezec.cz and posted about the climb on Instagram.
The European Cup series in ice climbing continues today with a competition in Žilina, Slovakia, with nine of our athletes participating, including Czech favorites Aneta Loužecká and Oliver Hamerský, who won silver a week ago at the season opener in Switzerland.

"Our goal is to make climbing accessible to all enthusiastic athletes regardless of physical conditions and disabilities and to expand the Czech para-climbing representation," the ČHS announced on Facebook.

Adam Ondra has posted a new documentary film on YouTube about his recent bouldering trip to Italy and Switzerland, where he managed to flash the 8C boulder Foundation's Edge. The film captures the preparation, strategy, and background of the 8C flash, as well as other climbs such as Big Illusion 8C, Ziqqurat 8C, Gliese 581 8B+ flash, and Ghost Ship 8B+ flash.
Czech Oliver Hamerský finished second yesterday evening in the European Cup ice climbing competition in Bern, Switzerland. Aneta Loužecká came sixth in the final. Two other members of Czech team finished in the qualifying round: Jan Mikel came 29th and Vojtěch Novozámský came 38th.

Adam Ondra climbed an 8C flash boulder, namely Foundation's Edge in the Swiss region of Fionnay. It is apparently the third flash boulder of this difficulty in the world. This summer, German climber Yannick Flohé was the first in the world to flash the 8C boulder, namely Foundation's Edge.
